Copenhagen Merchants in Geneva

You will be part of our experienced broker team in Geneva, that like all our other broker teams focus on both originators, traders and consumers in the growing international market. Your colleagues in the Geneva team works closely with more than 20 Brokers and Executing and Chartering specialists, in our other teams in Copenhagen, Hamburg, Madrid, Kaunas and Aarhus.

Copenhagen Merchants is continuously developing services and products for existing and new clients. Specifically, our Geneva team is leading the development of a new innovative web-based and live agricultural trading platform – CM Navigator. And you will naturally be involved in the further development of this.

Working in our Geneva office, you will work centrally in Geneva, in exclusive surroundings, with 5 close colleagues and just 5 mins. walk from Gare de Genève Cornavin.

Your responsibilities and tasks

You will in general be involved in all broker related tasks and will support the Geneva team on a broad scale. A special and important part of your job, will be to support the further development of the CM Navigator trading platform, providing data and input such as price updates, news, S&D analyses and trade flows. Data analysis, data generation and information gathering from both internal and external parties will therefore be a natural part of your job.

And we know from experience, that people that thrives in Copenhagen Merchants specifically, also has a profound interest for international business / commodities (I come from a farmer family), is ambitious, and is flexible and pragmatic.

Coming to experience, we expect you are studying a commodity trading relevant education or have just recently finished such e.g., the Bachelor / Master of Science in Commodity Trading from Université de Genève. You know the fundamentals and dynamics of S&D’s and hold solid IT skills – both in regard to MS Office and with some knowledge from working with other enterprise-systems like ERP, CRM, PowerBI, etc. Language-wise you are proficient in English and French – more languages just being an advantage. We expect that you can work a minimum of 3+ full days a week.
