Copenhagen Merchants ... in São Paolo
You will be part of our newly established broker team in São Paolo, that like all our other broker teams focus on both originators, traders, and consumers in the growing international market. Your current direct 3 colleagues in the São Paolo team, work closely together with more than 20 brokers and execution & chartering specialists in our other teams in Copenhagen, Hamburg, Kaunas, Geneva and Barcelona, consisting of more than 15 nationalities.
Copenhagen Merchants is continuously developing services and products for existing and new clients. Specifically, Copenhagen Merchants is right now developing a new innovative web-based and live agricultural trading platform – CM Navigator, which aims to improve how grain is traded within the industry. And you will naturally be involved in the further development and commercialization of this.
Working in our São Paulo office, you will work in the nice neighborhood Vila Olimpia, and in a completely newly refurbished office.
Your responsibilities and tasks
Being a junior broker, you must develop, so that you become an experienced broker and key-employee for Copenhagen Merchants.
That means that you amongst others will:
- develop clients and new flows of corn, meals and soybeans with an initial focus on FOB/CIF markets
- help build and develop the Copenhagen Merchants team, organization and culture in South America
- provide data and input for the further development of CM Navigator (price updates, line-ups, crops and weather information, geopolitical developments in South America, etc.)
- provide high quality execution services to our clients and support the execution and freight team’s
- take actively part improving the efficiency of the team and the organization
You

characterized by being curious, openminded, word-keeping and by having sublime social skills. And we also know from experience, that people that thrives in
Copenhagen Merchants specifically, also has a profound interest for international business / commodities (e.g. comes from a farmer family) and are ambitious,
flexible and pragmatic.
Coming to experience, we hope that you have already had some relevant experience from a similar position. But we could also be open, if you are a recent
graduate having studied International Business, Commodities, Logistics, etc. You are a very experienced user of MS Office, especially Excel, and do in general
have good digital capabilities. Language-wise you are proficient in English and Spanish – more languages just being an advantage. You enjoy travelling since you
can expect some 60+ travel days a year.
