Since 1977, when Torben Christensen started the brokerage company Copenhagen Merchants in the basement of his private house, the CM business and its activities have grown quite a lot.
Today, with close to 300 employees in the CM Group, the company is not only one of the largest grain brokering companies in Europe – we also now have the ability to provide efficient turnkey solutions for our clients and thereby minimize the risk for both buyers and sellers.

Since the very beginning, Copenhagen Merchants was interested in vessel chartering in order to understand the dynamic market opportunities. Hence, we have developed a significant competitive chartering desk, ship management and ship agency services.
TERMINALS
Furthermore, CM Group is a manager and owner/co-owner of 11 multi-bulk export and import terminal terminals with a combined storage capacity of more than 600,000 MT. Many of the terminals offer bagging, quality analysis and/or other related services.
