Aarhus Protein is situated in the East Port of the largest bulk & container port of Denmark. The terminal is well suited for import of feed grain as well as export of grains, bagging of bulk and powder products and storage of general cargo.
The Port of Aarhus is ISPS approved and the maximum draft alongside our berth is 7.5 meters.
Loading and discharging may also be carried out at an adjacent berth with a maximum 13.5-meter draft, and with no length or beam restrictions.
STORAGE, CLEANING & DRYING
Aarhus Protein is GMP+ certified. It primarily consists of 3 silos of 10,000 MT each. In addition there are 12 powder silos and 2 warehouses for general cargo.
Discharge is carried out using shore-cranes with a capacity of 500 MT/hour – while vessels are loaded by ship loader with the same capacity.
A licensed weighbridge is situated next to the berth.
SPECIALIZED PROCESSING
The terminal is based on a former soybean processing plant, and after a significant refurbishment, the production units are now also fully operational for both dehulling of pulses and spray drying of different food industry products.
In addition there are three lines for bulk and powder product bagging in small FFS and paper bags as well as big-bags.
